Spring Is Coming, But What Does That Mean

by Joshua Reeves

Longer days...Warmer spells...apparently...and nature coming back to life!

March is here, and with it comes Spring, our favourite season.

The farm, as well as looking glorious in the warm sun, blooms into a hive of activity. From the bleating of sheep and goats, to the clucking of the hens there is so much for us to look over and be grateful for in the heart of the South Downs.

Despite what we’re constantly being told, the warmer months are somewhat stumbling in, and we're excited for the fresh produce we can forage from the local area, adding another exciting twist to our offerings.

From picking fresh samphire down at Church Norton, to heading further inland and finding some hidden away wild garlic we take great joy in exploring the South Coast in anticipation of finding inspiration that we can take into the kitchen.

The return of these delicious, local flavours means that we can soon look to bring back some of our own personal favourites including the ever popular wild garlic sausage rolls, which are a best seller year-after-year, and also one we love cooking a few extra to get us through the longer days.

With that in mind we’re excited to let you know that we've got plenty coming up this year, from tasty new treats currently in the tasting process, to a wealth of events and shows where you can say hi, and maybe get some freebies or sneak previews of what we’ve got in the pipeline.

As usual you'll be the first to know here, and on our social media pages so make sure to keep your eyes peeled, and to find out how we can further help you, feel free to message us when making your orders!
